Two of examples of procedure texts are manuals and tips. Manuals tell you a set of instructions to do something correctly. While tips advise you to do what is right or not to do what is wrong. A procedure text consists of goal or aim (purpose of doing or operating of something), and steps (a set of instructions that must be carried out to achieve the goal or aim). The steps must be as a sequence from the first to the last.
