WHAT IS ARGUMENTATIVE TEXT?
An argumentative text is a type of writing that presents a point of view on a particular topic and supports that viewpoint with evidence. The goal of an argumentative text is to persuade the reader or audience to accept the writer’s perspective or take a particular action. In order to achieve this, the writer employs logical reasoning, factual evidence, and often emotional appeals to build a strong case for their position.
TEXT STRUCTURE
- INTRODUCTION
This section contains thesis statement, introduction of topic, brief description of the problem and the writer’s arguments.
- BODY OF THE ARGUMENT
In this section, the writers express his/her opinion clearly supported by some accurate facts and data.
- CONCLUSION
The conclusion summarizes all the things that already stated in the text, and it is located in the closing section.
